You may have heard of many celebrities or professionals making new records everyday. But this man seems to take the cake.

He "made history by becoming the oldest player, at 60 years of age, to play in an international club competition" when he captained Inter Moengotapoe
in a CONCACAF League football match. Brunswijk, who owns the team, captained his club and played 54 minutes in a 6-0 defeat to Olimpia in the competition.
He wore the No.61 jersey in a tribute to the year he was born and played alongside his son Damian Brunswijk, who ironically lasted only 29 minutes before being substituted.

He is the Vice-president of Suriname, a South American country with a population of 600,000.

He is said to have fathered 50 children.

He was once a guerrilla leader, wanted bank robber, international drug trafficker and gold-mining baron, and was named ‘Robin Hood’ of Suriname. After helping to bring resources to his historically marginalized community, the Maroons, he promised to equitably distribute the wealth of the country’s newfound oil reserve. He was also a key figure in the Surinamese Interior War.

However, his only concern now is that he will not play in the away leg for Inter Moengotapoe as his wanted status by Interpol means that he cannot leave the country.
