Following an unforeseen two years of a pandemic, the baking summer heat of Mumbai and a magical convergence of an always mismatching family calendar filled with students and working adults, a trip to the mountains came calling to our door.
From exploring Tibetan markets to some stupefying Gulab Jamuns on the road, we were eventually swayed into purchasing Amritsari Kurtas and Pathanis in the streets of Punjab. With a blend of heat and cold, guest houses and luxury hotels, leisure and exertion, a trip from Dalhousie to Dharamshala and finally Amritsar managed to teach us the sketch of visiting a place as a tourist but living there as a local.
Amidst this trip, in a brand-new reality and our new “normal”, the concept of “work from home” crossed us at multiple places.
To simply imagine: work in a metropolitan but live on a hill. Oh….
